Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer. ~Dave Barry~

CIBC's Run for the Cure
Today, my wife and I...along with 30,000 others...ran the CIBC "Run for the Cure," 5 kilometre run in downtown Toronto. All the proceeds go towards the fight for breast cancer. The run wasn't timed as it was all for the cause...but I still timed myself and after fighting through some slower joggers/walkers for the first kilometre or so, my running partner, Lisa, and I picked up the pace a bit to finish in 28 minutes. This was my first "race" since public school and was glad to get it under my belt. My wife and I are going to try to enter some timed races before we start training for some 10 kilometre runs. I'm very proud of my wife Melanie who finished in 33 minutes. She did an excellent job and has come a long way since we started training. Here's to finding the cure one day!
